Advantages

1) It is a very effective and reliable low friction seal.

2) It is a combination seal and the extrusion of the O-ring to ensure a good sealing effect even under low pressure. At higher system pressures, the O-ring is subject to the movement of the fluid, pushing the Gley ring toward the sealing surface with greater force. It can accept the sealing surface to the greatest extent and achieve a very good sealing effect.

3) The geometry of the Gley ring ensures a good static seal and allows a lubricating hydrodynamic oil film to form beneath the seal in reciprocating applications.
